William Hector - Playwright

William Hector is a Miami-born playwright and novelist. Graduating from the University of Miami in 2015 with dual degrees in Politics, Philosophy & Economics, and in Playwriting, William was one of four playwrights chosen to participate in Miami Dade County's Playwright Development Program from 2015 to 2017, and was recently awarded a Knight Foundation New Work Miami grant to write, produce, and stage G7: 2070. In January of 2019, the Camino Real Playhouse in San Juan Capistrano selected his play Unbound for performance in their ShowOff! International Playwrighting Festival, and in the past, he has worked to stage readings of his plays Sheol, Draco, The Monster with 21 Faces, and The Kipling Backpack Thief in collaboration with partners including The Playwrights Center, Meetinghouse Miami, and the MDC Department of Cultural Affairs. He has also worked on collaborative productions in partnership with fellow writers, The Deering Estate, and WLRN. Mr. Hector is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild.

Victoria Collado - Director

Victoria Collado is a Cuban-American director of film and theatre. She recently directed the immersive theater piece AMPARO written by Vanessa Garcia in partnership with Havana Club by Bacardi. Victoria was the assistant director to Tony Taccone in John Leguizamo’s Latin History for Morons on Broadway. She received her BFA from Florida International University. Victoria has experience working in writing and directing for web series film and radio. Other recent directorial credits include That Rebel That; El Cruce Sobre el Niagara; El Burlador de Sevilla; A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings; and The Crocodile's Bite. She is a fellow of the WP Theater’s 2018-2020 Lab. Ms. Collado is an Associate Member of the SDC.

Patrick Rodriguez - Producer

Patrick Rodriguez is a Miami-based producer, performer, writer, and educator. As a performer, he has worked at some of the premiere regional theaters in South Florida including Actor’s Playhouse, Slow Burn Theatre, and Florida Grand Opera. He is a company member of Lost Girl’s Theatre and Villain Theater, has been a Lead Teaching Artist at Miami Theatre Center since 2017, and currently works at the Miami Children Museum’s TYA team. He serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors at the South Florida Theatre League. He received a BFA in Theater from Florida International University.

Naomi Zapata - Stage Manager

South Florida credits include: IlluminArts, Actors' Playhouse, The Amparo Experience, Young Arts, Orchestra Miami, City Theatre, Miami New Drama, Miami Theater Center, Mosaic Theatre, Acme Acting Company, Florida Shakespeare Theatre, Florida Grand Opera, Coconut Grove Playhouse, and New World Symphony. New York credits include: Brooklyn Academy of Music, La MaMa E.T.C., Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and the New York Philharmonic. National credits include: Chicago Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Naomi holds a BFA in Stage Management from North Carolina School of the Arts and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Located on Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove, Florida, The Kampong contains a fascinating array of tropical fruit cultivars and flowering trees. Named for the Malay or Javanese word for a village or cluster of houses, The Kampong is the former estate of Dr. David Fairchild, the famed botanical explorer who traveled throughout Southeast Asia and other tropical regions collecting exotic plants he introduced to the U.S.

Lost Girls Theatre

The mission of Lost Girls Theatre is to create a sense of wonder. We plan to accomplish that through highly visual acts of storytelling that combine the mundane with the magical. Lost Girls Theatre focuses on modern concerns through the lens of classical themes and pop culture. We strive bring the excitement of unique and original theatrical performances to audiences both young and young at heart. Also general geekery.

The CLEO Institute is a women-led 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization that is exclusively dedicated to climate crisis education and advocacy. Founded in 2010, we work with communities across Florida to build climate literacy and mobilize climate action for a just, resilient future.
